Another soggy day is in store for Central Florida.
This time around, our severe weather threat is very low through the rest of the day. The highest strong storm potential remains south of Orlando, generally Southern Osceola and Brevard counties.
Overall, pockets of heavy rain will continue into the early evening, allowing for another 1-3 inches of rain to accumulate. That would bring totals areawide from 4 to 7 inches of rain. Highs will reach the upper 60s to lower 70s. Tonight, our storm system begins to move into the Atlantic. Behind it, skies will slowly clear and winds will pick up. Overnight lows will be near normal, in the low to mid 50s.
By tomorrow, partly sunny skies and very windy conditions will exist. Winds will be sustained out of the west, up to 20 mph, with higher gusts. Abundant sunshine finally returns heading into Sunday. Temperatures will stay below normal, but will be comfortable, with highs in the low 70s and lows near 50. Most of next week will remain quiet.
Through Tuesday, skies will be full of sunshine, before another storm system takes shape. Currently, only a slight rain chance is expected Wednesday into Thursday. The storm system is
expected to stay weak, providing only beneficial rainfall.
