The last two days of spring look like they will be hot and muggy with a chance of rain.

High pressure remains in place across Central Florida through the rest of the week. Inland-moving sea breezes and interactions will produce showers and storms each afternoon. Temperatures will stay near to just above normal.

Today, southwest steering flow will favor the eastern side of the peninsula for showers and storms. Strongest storms will be inland, where boundary collisions occur. Highs today will range from 89 at the beach to 93 in the interior areas.

Tonight, expect storms to diminish well after sunset. Partly cloudy skies and muggy conditions along with temperatures ranging from 72 in Ocala to73 in Palm Coast to 75 at Melbourne and Orlando.

Tomorrow, both sea breeze boundaries push inland and collide down the spine of the peninsula. Scattered afternoon convection and plenty of heat are both on tap for Central Florida. High temperatures will reach the upper 80s to 90 degrees along the coast, with low to mid 90s inland.

By the weekend, an easterly wave with more moisture heads toward Central Florida. This increases rain chances, as showers and storms will move inland from the Atlantic and push toward the western side of the peninsula. Behind this wave, a slight drying takes place late Sunday.

As for the tropics, T.D. Two continues its trek in the southern Bay of Campeche. This system may become Tropical Storm Barry sometime today.  Elsewhere, no tropical formation is expected.
