We are expecting a nice change in the weather pattern today as drier air moves into Central Florida, lowering rain chances for today and through the upcoming holiday weekend. Lower rain chances today will result in much hotter weather with highs in the lower to middle 90s, but as a weak cold front drifts into the late in the day, a northwest wind will allow for a drop in temperatures for Saturday and Sunday.
The weather pattern will remain mainly dry through the beginning for the week, with just a slight chance for afternoon showers developing by next Wednesday. Expect mostly clear skies and muggy conditions, with skies beginning to clear overnight. By sunrise, areas patchy fog development will be possible, as morning lows will only drop into the upper 60s and lower 70s.
Today, a weak cold front moves through down the peninsula with very little moisture or energy to provide showers that are typical with a frontal passage. Rain chances will be held at or below 20 percent for this afternoon afternoon, and mainly south of the Orlando area. With full sunshine expected on Friday, and very little cloud cover or afternoon storms, afternoon high temperatures will climb into the lower to middle 90s across Central Florida. Much drier air returns behind this front for the weekend. Expect mostly sunny skies and dry conditions through Memorial Day. Daytime highs will reach the middle 80s with a few spots climbing into the upper 80s and overnight lows will fall into the mid and upper 60s.
