The upper level low pressure that has influenced our area over the past several days begins moving away from the peninsula. As it exits, drier air slowly filters back into Central Florida lowering rain chances toward the end of the week. As rain chances lower, afternoon high temperatures warm above normal for many.

Today, light southeast winds continue, keeping warm and moist air in place. Scattered showers and storms will develop this afternoon. Stronger storms will occur with boundary collisions. Expect daytime highs in the mid 80s along the coast, to upper 80s inland.

Tonight, storms will linger through early evening. Overnight, expect partly cloudy skies and muggy conditions. Low will drop into the upper 60s and lower 70s.

Tomorrow, winds will be variable and weaken. This keeps the area quite warm and uncomfortable. Enough moisture remains in place for some showers and storms. Coverage of this convection will not be as widespread as previous days. Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s along the coast, with low 90s inland.

To end the work week, a frontal boundary moves through Central Florida. Behind it, drier air moves in for the upcoming weekend. Noticeably lower rain chances and seasonable temperatures are expected.
