Overnight rains are proof that a summertime weather pattern has moved into the area.
We will see hot and humid conditions with scattered afternoon showers as we wrap up our weekend.
Today, the heat is on once again. Enough moisture returns for afternoon and early evening scattered showers and storms with sea breeze collisions. The best rain chances exist inland. High temperatures will climb into the middle 80s along the coast, and upper 80s inland.
Clearing tonight with lows ranging from 67 in Ocala to 69 in Palm Coast to 71 in Orlando to 72 in Melbourne.
A similar setup is expected Monday. Highs will warm into the upper 80s with afternoon and evening storms.
More of the same for next week. Near normal temperatures and afternoon storms are expected each day.
At the coast, boaters should take caution in the afternoon hours as scattered storms develop. Swimmers should swim near lifeguards as the rip current threat is elevated.
Weather can be mysterious, exciting and sometimes dangerous. That's why News 13 created Project Weather to help provide kids with the information they need to stay safe. Project Weather is made up of interactive educational resources to help prepare students for the future.
