High pressure remains in control, as moisture steadily increases to start the work week. Diurnal heating and boundary collisions will produce afternoon convection each day.

Today, southeast winds continue, keeping a warm and humid air mass in place. Expect partly sunny skies and scattered afternoon storms. Highest concentration will be inland with boundary collisions. Storms may become strong with gusty winds and frequent lightning. Daytime highs will reach the mid to upper 80s.

Tonight, storms will continue through early evening. Overnight, partly cloudy skies and mild temperatures remain. A lingering shower may be possible along the coast. Lows will drop into the mid to upper 60s.

Tomorrow, a similar weather pattern stays in place. Scattered afternoon showers and storms are expected. Highs will reach the mid 80s along the coast, with upper 80s to 90 degrees inland.

A typical wet season pattern continues through the work week. Each day, ample heating and moisture will produce scattered convection.

By this weekend, a weak front approaches the region. Behind it, slightly drier air lowers rain chances a bit for Central Florida. Expect highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s, with overnight lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
