A late-season frontal boundary moves into Central Florida to end the work week. Behind it, noticeably drier and slightly cooler air returns for the holiday weekend.
Today, the front moves through Central Florida. Behind it, west-northwest winds usher in drier air. Even with this frontal passage, a hot day is on tap. Expect partly sunny skies, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s for most. A few spots may approach the mid 90s.
Tonight, after the hot day, a warm evening is in store. Expect mostly clear skies and near normal low temperatures. Lows will drop into the mid to upper 60s, with low 70s along the Brevard Coast.
Tomorrow, strong onshore winds develop, as high pressure builds back into the region. This keeps temperatures a few degrees cooler, with highs in the low 80s along the coast, and mid 80s inland.
Much of the same is expected through the rest of the holiday weekend. Persistent onshore winds may bring a shower or two to the coast, mainly south of the Cape; otherwise expect a dry forecast elsewhere.
Onshore winds will elevate surf and produce somewhat hazardous boating conditions along our coast for several days.
