Melanee King is a senior at South Sumter High School. She is an active of member of the Christians in Action club and the National Honor Society. Outside of school she likes to hang out with her family and be adventurous. She also loves to spend time with her youth group! The reason she joined the multimedia class was because she loves to take picture and be creative with the things she captures. She dedicates her whole life to God. Her main goal is to grow closer to God spiritually and spread his word. After high school she plans on attending a Christian college and seeing what God has in store for her.
Megan Bennett is currently a senior at South Sumter High School. Her interests include drawing, writing, and reading. She’s interested in doing campus articles for her journalism class.
Alexander Schofill is a 17 senior at South Sumter High School. Art and music are his passion. He plays four different instruments, three of which he taught himself to play. In his spare time you find Alex drawing, painting, or writing music.
Priyanka “Priya” Patel is a 16 years old junior at South Sumter High School. She loves all sports, and also participates in sports medicine. Her friends would describe her as having a great sense of humor and really hyper. She is the president of FBLA and Historian of junior class. The reason she joined multimedia is because she loves to write and read stories. Priya loves to learn new things and take on challenges.
Jacquelynne Lagace is a senior at South Sumter High School. She has a background in singing, drawing, and anime.
Kelly Simmons is a senior at South Sumter High School. Her interests include art, dance, music, and learning other cultures. Kelly is a part of psychology, journalism, and the Japanese Culture Club. Kelly loves politics and stays involved in what is going on.
Tiffany Peck is a senior at South Sumter High School. She is a member of Japanese Culture Club. She enjoys drawing, reading, and writing in her spare time. In her multimedia class she enjoys writing about campus and community activities.
Sydney Mann(Editor) is a junior at South Sumter High School. Some people would describe her as “short and sweet.” Sydney is always trying to be involved in activities going on around the school and community. She is currently class president. She is vice president of Future Business Leaders of America, parliamentarian of Student Council, and treasurer of National Honors Society. She is a varsity cheerleader, a varsity weightlifter, and a varsity track runner. She believes journalism is a great class to get involved in, because you become really involved in the community and she enjoys writing stories.
Brittany Lemay is a sophomore at South Sumter High School. Some of her interests include drawing and reading. She plays the guitar and aspires to learn the piano. Something that makes her unique is that she will always be a shoulder to lean on no matter who you are.
Brandilynn Schickert is a senior at South Sumter High School. She enjoys writing, art, video games, and cooking. She is not afraid to be herself in front of other people. She is the president of the Japanese Culture club, NJROTC, and journalism.
Lindsey Roberts is a 17 year old senior at South Sumter High School. After high school she plans to attend a university to receive a degree in engineering.
Reanna Chisenhall is a senior at South Sumter High School. She is an active member of FBLA and psychology club. She loves to be athletic and always doing something. Reanna can be found after school somewhere on campus whether is cheerleading, weightlifting, or track. When she completes her senior year she intends to attend Full Sail University to take part in their film degree program in hopes of working behind the scenes of movies.
Lachonda Lacey (Editor) is a senior at South Sumter High school. She participates many different clubs and organizations on campus. These include FBLA, Student council vice-president, and Senior Class President, Science Club Vice-president, and Journalism editor. She has a passion for cheerleading and track, following in the footsteps of her siblings. After graduation she intends on enrolling as a pre-med student at either University of Florida or Emory University in hopes of becoming an anesthesiologist.
Tarra Kenny is a senior at South Sumter High School. She is an honor student, involved in student council, foreign language club, MECA (medical career academy), journalism, psychology, I volunteer at Bushnell Elementary and Lake Sumter Community College. Kara also works at Winn-Dixie. Her friends would describe her as outgoing, funny, talkative, and loving. She is interested in Journalism because I love writing, being part of a team, and working with athletes.
Nancy Lawler is a junior at South Sumter High School. She plays on the school’s basketball and softball teams. She also plays piccolo in the marching band. She is the secretary of Drama Club and is a member of the Art Club and National Honor Society. Outside of school, Nancy’s enjoys updating her blog and hanging out with her friends. She is interested in journalism because it helps her learn skills that she will be using in the future. She plans to pursue a career in web design. She says this class makes her feel great because it makes her feel like she is making a difference by reporting on what is happening at school and in the community.
Riot Hawkins is a senior at South Sumter High School. He loves going to the mall and clowning around. He is a member of the Foreign Language, FBLA, Journalism, and Drama Club. Riot says he became part of the Journalism class because in his opinion it’s a great class. He says he has been trying to get into the class for the past two years. He enjoys learning new things that will benefit him in the future. He plans to pursue a career in Journalism and intends to use the skills learned in this class will help him be better prepared for the future.
Tamyra Daniels is a senior at South Sumter High School. She has attended Young Women’s Leadership Schools during her freshman year in East Harlem, and transferred to South Sumter High School at the beginning of her sophomore year. ] She’s mostly known for her dancing and her nickname “New York”. She plays basketball, flag football, track and field and many other sports. She has a strong passion for music, and is planning to become a music producer in the future. She loves to help people out in her community or in her school. In journalism, she’s known for using the cameras to capture videos and pictures for sports and interviews of the South Sumter Raiders.
