Bill Buchalter, High School Sports Expert
Central Florida Sports Hall of Fame color commentator Bill Buchalter has covered sports for 45 years at the St. Petersburg Times and Orlando Sentinel. He's now an analyst for BHSN's high school football Game of the Week in Central Florida, as well as a contributor for BHSN.com.
Bill worked for the Sentinel as a senior reporter for 40 years. He has lived in Florida since 1941, growing up on Sunset Beach and Azaleaville, in St. Petersburg, and attended Boca Ciega High School the year it opened.
In December of 2001, Bill was inducted into the Boca Ciega Hall of Fame.
Bill graduated from the University of Florida, went to work at the Times, and has been working ever since. Up front and personal coverage from Little League baseball to major college football bowls, to the Super Bowl, to a dozen Final Fours in NCAA basketball to seven Olympic Games.
Bill has been inducted into the Florida Sports Hall of Fame, one of only four Florida sportswriters honored. He has also been inducted into the Florida High School Activities/Athletic Association Hall of Fame, Florida Track Hall of Fame, Florida Citrus Bowl Hall of Fame, Central Florida Sports Hall of Fame, Bob Hayes Invitational Hall of Fame, Golden South Classic Hall of Fame and Arthur Jackson Midnight Basketball of Central Florida Inaugural Hall of Fame.
Bill has earned distinguished service awards from the Florida Athletic Coaches Association and the National High School Athletic Coaches Association. He also received the Jimmy Carnes Lifetime Achievement Award and recently the Community Service Award from the Center for Drug Free Living.
Bill has authored a book on the history of the Tangerine/Florida Citrus Bowl for its first 50 years.

Affiliate Relations Coordinator – Tampa Bay
Bright House Sports Network is looking for an Affiliate Relations Coordinator to maintain and develop BHSN’s relationships with high schools, athletic associations, booster clubs and the Florida High School Athletic Association.
Candidates should have experience with sponsorship management, event coordination and experience utilizing social media platforms. Responsibilities include coordination of on-site events with staff, update and assist with maintenance of social media accounts and knowledge of current sports events and industry trends. Must be a strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
Position is located in Tampa Bay, FL.
