John W. Davis is General Assignment Reporter for Central Florida News 13. John joined the Orlando newsroom in November 2011.
In his career, John has worked as a Multimedia Journalist at WPTA-TV & WISE-TV in Fort Wayne, Indiana and as an Associate Morning Show Producer at WDIV-TV in Detroit, Michigan.
Some of his most memorable interviews have been with 2008 Republican Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee, Olympic Track & Field Gold Medalist Michael Johnson, NASCAR Superstar Tony Stewart and Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels.
John's favorite stories are the ones that matter to people like education, politics, weather and breaking news.
Adept at multi-tasking, John enjoys shooting and editing his own video, taking pictures and contributing web and social media updates.
John is a graduate of Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York, where he earned his Master's Degree in Broadcast Journalism. John received his undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University, in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, where he earned a Bachelor's of Applied Arts in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts.
John is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
John is also an avid runner, who hopes to run a half-marathon and a marathon in the near future. John's favorite sports are Basketball (Detroit Pistons), Track & Field (Alan Webb) and NASCAR (Dale Earnhardt Jr. & Tony Stewart).
