Jeff Allen, Seminole County Reporter

Jeff Allen comes to News 13 from Lexington, Kentucky.

After reporting and anchoring for a couple of small stations in college, Jeff worked behind the camera as an assignment editor and producer at WHAS-TV in Louisville. Jeff then moved to the mountains of eastern Kentucky, where he worked as a bureau reporter and weekend anchor for WYMT-TV.

Jeff then moved closer to home and became a reporter for WLEX-TV in Lexington. While working for the NBC affiliate, he was awarded by the Kentucky News Photographers Association for his work as a video journalist.

Jeff also got to cover his grandfather and other World War II veterans as they took an honor flight to the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C. He has also covered sporting events such as the University of Kentucky's Men's Basketball team as they went to two Final Fours, including their national championship game in New Orleans in 2012.

When Jeff isn't working, he enjoys working out, biking, playing tennis, going to the beach, following college basketball and visiting with family and friends.
