Dick Batchelor, Political Analyst (D)
Former Florida Representative Dick Batchelor first went to Tallahassee in 1974, where he served as chairman on several committees in the House. During his time in office, Batchelor received more than 50 awards for his legislative service.
A longtime resident of Orlando and a graduate of the University of Central Florida, Batchelor has been recognized by his peers as one of “The 50 Most Powerful People” (Orlando Magazine 2004-2011), “Businessman of the Year” (Orlando Business Journal 2002), and “Best Corporate Citizen” (Orlando Magazine 2008-2009).
Batchelor is the founder and president of the Dick Batchelor Management Group and is on several boards throughout the community. Batchelor has also been recognized by The White House, carrying out presidential appointments as a delegate to observe elections in South Africa and as a delegate to the United Nations Human Rights Commission. Batchelor is married and has three sons.
