The Bay area's most beloved dolphin is a world-famous movie star.

The movie "Dolphin Tale" is about Winter, the dolphin who lost her tail in a crab trap and learned to swim using a prosthetic tail. She has become an inspiration for people all around the world.

Much of the filming was done at Winter's home at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and in the Bay News 9 studios! The movie stars Morgan Freeman, Harry Connick Jr., Ashley Judd and Kris Kristofferson.

Last September, the Bay News 9 newsroom became even busier than usual, thanks to the presence of the "Dolphin Tale" movie crew.
