Burn bans are now being issued across Central Florida.
Lake and Sumter counties are the latest to enact mandatory burn bans in all parts of the county.
A voluntary ban has been put into place in Marion County because of the fires in Brevard County. People living there are being asked to refrain from outside burning and to be careful when using barbecue grills or smoking cigarettes.
Because of the wildfire threats, the task force also has canceled a burning demonstration scheduled for Thursday.
In Volusia County, a mandatory ban was put into place Tuesday.
The ban affects unincorporated areas and the cities of Debary, Deltona, Oak Hill and Lake Helen, and the Town of Pierson. Anyone who violates the rules could face fines or jail time.
In Flagler County, officials enacted a county-wide burn ban, meaning open burning and fire pits are banned.
