ORLANDO -- Two people are dead and one seriously hurt following a crash early Saturday morning in Orange County.

Troopers said Robert Hoffman was driving a Lincoln Town Car south on Alafaya Trail, when he lost control of the car, went down an embankment and hit a pine tree.

The force of the impact cut the car into two pieces, and broke the top of the pine tree.

Hoffman, along with Justin Garver, a passenger in the car, died in the crash.

A third person, Ross Garver, remains in serious condition at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
