ORLANDO -- If you're driving through Orlando, watch those traffic lights. Running them could cost you.
On Wednesday, Mayor Buddy Dyer unveiled the seven intersections throughout the city where 10 red light cameras will be installed.
The red light camera project is called “Orlando Stops”. It’s aimed at cutting down bad driving habits at dangerous intersections.
"I believe we had a high number of 89 red light runners in about a 10 hours period in the busiest intersections that we selected and the low was 24. So, we still have a high incidence of red light running and this is what this program is all about, eliminating that and providing a deterrent for that," said Code Enforcement Manager Mike Rhodes.
In total, there are 10 cameras at seven intersections throughout the city.
West Orlando
Conroy Road and Vineland Road
Turkey Lake Road and Wallace Road

The red light cameras will take pictures and video of violators, which will then be reviewed by city code enforcement.
Citations could cost up to $250. Cameras will be up and running in September.
