ORLANDO -- A change at Orlando International Airport has cab drivers extremely upset.

It has to do with where cab drivers now have to go to wait for a ride.

Wednesday marked the first day drivers had to assemble at a new staging area. While the old one was right next to the airport, the new area is miles away, leaving drivers without permanent restrooms, shelter or running water.

"It's despicable,” said Rae Martin, a taxi driver. “There is absolutely no reason to treat human beings in this manner or fashion to move us out here in the middle of nowhere without bathroom facilities. You have three Porta Potties for 700 people."

OIA officials said they are aware of the drivers concerns and are working to fix them. They said they moved the taxi staging area because of construction and the reorganization would better serve passengers.
