Floyd Misek, Floyd The Food Guy
Grilled italian sandwich -- just saying that makes your mouth water doesn't it? Well, Floyd the Food Guy will explain how to make one.
Start out by frying a hot sausage patty in a pan.
While that is going, let's make the sandwich. Start with some sliced Italian bread or any kind of bread you would like.
Floyd likes to use provolone, but any sort of Italian cheese is going to work very, very well.
Make a grilled cheese sandwich and fry it up in a pan in some olive oil until it's toasty brown on both sides.
Now, when the cheese is melted you are having some fun. Tamp the sausage patty on some paper towels to get rid of some of the grease. Then, basically, open up that sandwich and just slide in that sausage patty.
If you want, you can add some sliced roasted red peppers -- sliced tomatoes are fine -- and last, but not least, basil adds wonderful flavor to this grilled sandwich.
Put the sandwich back together, slice it in half for service and serve it up with some marinated vegetables or perhaps a collection of olives.
