Clermont - Central Florida Kidfest and Family Expo

Central Florida Kidfest and Family Expo provides a venue where families and participating community and nonprofit organizations can come together for the mutual objective of keeping children safe. Now in its eighth year, this informative and fun day highlights an extensive range of information on a variety of issues, whether safety in the car, out on the street, on bicycles, at home or while at play, available to attending families. Through interactive displays and one-on-one discussions, parents and caregivers are able to access information that is relevant to them. Kids also benefit from receiving messages that show them how they can take responsibility for their own well being. This year, we have coordinated numerous on-site events which create nonstop amusement for everyone in attendance. There will be hundreds of exhibitors, inflatable games galore and lots of food vendors. One of our new events is the Central Florida Kidfest "Teen Idol Contest." This is a vocal talent competition which will feature preteen and teen singers from all over the Southeast.

Orlando - Anime Festival Orlando

AFO is a multi-day celebration of all things related to Japanese animation and pop culture. Growing in attendance nearly 20 PERCENT each year since its inception in 2000, Anime Festival Orlando has earned the title of Florida’s Favorite Anime Convention, as well as being voted one of the Top 10 Things To Do In Orlando by DK Publishing’s Travel Guide. Orlando - Orange County Sheriff's Office 9/11 Memorial Car Show

On behalf of the Orange County Sheriff's Office, I would like for you to participate in our 5th Annual 9/11 Memorial Car Show. The car show will feature vehicles of all types, years and design from law enforcement, fire departments, corrections and rescue personnel, sworn and civilian. We also encourage car clubs and civilians to display their vehicles as well. There will also be food, merchandise vendors -- both law enforcement and non-law enforcement-related, music, trophies, prizes, displays and an auction. There is no admission charge to attend this event. As a tribute to the human spirit, we have seen in the faces and actions of those in New York, Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania and throughout our nation at this time we want to remember that they all accomplished some truly heroic tasks, and deserve to be called heroes. We want to continue to be able to honor these heroes and their families. This event is not only a time to reflect on their sacrifices, but also to honor all those who are still out there working to keep our communities safe. All monetary donations received will be distributed to the Law Enforcement Memorial Fund, the Firefighter Memorial Funds and the Children's Safety Village of Central Florida. Orlando - Target Family Theatre Festival

The Orlando Repertory Theatre is thrilled to receive a grant from Target to host the 2nd Annual Target Family Theatre Festival. This is the second year in a row The Rep has received this grant in an effort to build awareness of Orlando’s cultural community and to bring families together through art education.
